65|RT Crane Supports Transmission Line Project in Rural Oregon

The 65-ton 65|RT rough terrain crane from Link-Belt Cranes is showcasing its capabilities in rural Lexington, Oregon, where it is being used for an overhead transmission line project led by Centerline Drilling. The crane’s smooth maneuverability and user-friendly operation have proven essential for the task, which involves setting rebar and anchor bolt cages into 17 drilled pier foundations.

The cages, measuring between 8 and 11.5 feet in diameter and extending up to 35 feet long, weigh as much as 16,000 pounds. The 65|RT has excelled in handling these massive loads, providing precision and efficiency in every configuration.

Hunter Magnan, a seasoned operator with three years of experience, praised the crane for its performance, calling it an excellent entry point to rough terrain cranes. He highlighted its ergonomic cab, featuring LED lighting, an advanced vision package, and the intuitive Pulse LMI system, as standout features.

Magnan described the 65|RT as a “do-it-all machine,” offering exceptional capacity at radius and unmatched maneuverability, making it an ideal choice for midsize lifting operations. With hundreds of hours logged on the crane, he strongly recommends it to those seeking a reliable and versatile picker for diverse applications.
