ACCIONA Achieves Highest CDP Score for Water Security and Climate Change

ACCIONA has been recognized by CDP—a leading organization in corporate climate information analysis—for its efforts in mitigating climate change and water management. The company has been included in the A List for the 2024 Climate Change and Water Security assessments, while ACCIONA Energía has also been included in the Climate Change A List.

Being part of the Climate Change A List highlights ACCIONA and ACCIONA Energía’s excellence in climate action, their alignment with a low-carbon economy, and their commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The rating considers the quality of public information, environmental leadership, and science-based climate strategies.

ACCIONA has also been included in the A List for Water Security, recognizing its contributions to water resource protection, circularity strategy, and water efficiency policies.

CDP’s recognition further solidifies ACCIONA and ACCIONA Energía’s leadership in global sustainability indices. ACCIONA has been included in the 2025 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations index by Corporate Knights and is listed in both the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) and the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index (DJSI Europe) as the most sustainable electric utility in the world.

ACCIONA Energía has also been ranked among Sustainalytics’ top ESG-rated companies, making it the leading Spanish power utility in managing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks and one of the best in the sector globally.
