ACCIONA Renews Collaboration with ONCE Foundation, Pledges 150 New Jobs for People with Disabilities

ACCIONA has strengthened its long-standing partnership with the ONCE Foundation by renewing the Convenio Inserta agreement, first signed in 2007. Under the renewed commitment, ACCIONA will hire 150 people with disabilities over the next three years, raising the total number of hires through this collaboration to 744.

The agreement was signed by Juan Ignacio Entrecanales, Vice-Chairman of ACCIONA, and Alberto Durán, Executive Vice-Chairman of the ONCE Foundation.

Employment and Inclusion Commitments

Through the agreement, ACCIONA will continue to work with Inserta Empleo, the ONCE Foundation’s training and employment agency. Inserta Empleo will identify suitable candidates, provide tailored training, and ensure that new employees with disabilities are supported in their roles.

The collaboration also promotes indirect job creation through the acquisition of equipment and services from specialized employment centers.

Since 2007, the agreement has been renewed in 2012, 2017, and now 2025 — reflecting its ongoing positive impact.

Disability Office: A First in Spain’s Corporate Sector

In 2024, ACCIONA launched the Disability Office, a pioneering initiative in Spain’s corporate sector. This center provides comprehensive advice and individualized support for employees with disabilities, their managers, and colleagues.

The Disability Office consolidates the company’s more than 30 years of experience in workplace inclusion, making this expertise available across all business areas and international operations. Its goal is to promote professional development, well-being, and inclusion as part of ACCIONA’s People strategy, which places employees at the heart of corporate management.

Currently, 4.6% of ACCIONA’s workforce in Spain consists of people with disabilities, surpassing the country’s legal requirement. The company has been recognized for its inclusion efforts by organizations such as the Bequal Foundation, Randstad Foundation, Red Cross, and Integra Foundation.
