ACCIONA Secures $220 Million for Power Transmission in Peru

ACCIONA has successfully closed two new financing lines worth $220 million to support the construction of power transmission lines in Peru. These projects aim to strengthen electricity supply quality and integrate renewable energy into the national grid.

Financing Breakdown

🔹 $165 Million Syndicated Loan (Banco Santander & Caixabank)

  • Scope: 386 km of transmission lines
  • Infrastructure: 6 new substations, expansion of 6 existing substations
  • Regions Impacted: Arequipa & Ica
  • Objective: Improve grid reliability and support 10GW of renewable energy development

🔹 $55 Million Green Loan (BBVA)

  • Projects Covered: Reque-Nueva Carhuaquero, Ica-Poroma, Cáclic-JaĂ©n Norte
  • Purpose: Enhance transmission between Cajamarca and the Peruvian coast, ensuring quality and efficiency

These loans add to the $145 million financing agreement signed earlier with IFC (World Bank) & FMO (Dutch development bank) for Peru’s renewable energy integration.
