AECOM NASA Environmental Support Services Overview

United StatesAECOM, the trusted global infrastructure leader, has been awarded a 10-year blanket purchase agreement (BPA) by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to deliver comprehensive environmental support services across NASA Centers nationwide.

Under the agreement, AECOM will be eligible to support BPA task orders focused on environmental regulatory review and compliance, including interpreting federal, state, and local regulations; recommending compliance strategies; conducting environmental audits and inspections; and supporting day-to-day environmental program operations at NASA facilities.

The contract represents a first-of-its-kind enterprise environmental services agreement for NASA and builds on AECOM’s more than 60-year relationship with the agency.

“We are proud to partner with NASA on this landmark environmental services contract, which underscores our long-standing collaboration and shared commitment to environmental stewardship,” said Frank Sweet, Chief Executive of AECOM’s Environment business. “This award reflects the technical excellence of our team and our ability to navigate complex regulatory environments while supporting NASA’s evolving mission.”

AECOM has supported NASA programs at every NASA Center and component facility, as well as enterprise-wide initiatives for NASA Headquarters. The firm has provided more than two decades of support to NASA’s Environmental and Energy Functional Review Program and has contributed to hundreds of projects involving environmental program development, compliance management, technical support, and implementation of agency-wide guidance.

The scope of services under the BPA is expected to cover a broad range of environmental disciplines, including drinking water, stormwater, wastewater, air emissions, natural resources management, energy, and environmental restoration. These services will help NASA maintain regulatory compliance while advancing sustainability and operational resilience across its nationwide portfolio.

The agreement reinforces AECOM’s role as a trusted partner in delivering mission-critical environmental solutions for federal agencies and supporting long-term stewardship of complex infrastructure systems.
