AECOM Secures $1.5 Billion Contract to Support U.S. Air Force Environmental Programs Worldwide

Dallas, TX – Global infrastructure leader AECOM (NYSE: ACM) has been awarded a $1.5 billion multiple award task order contract (MATOC) by the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) to provide global architecture and engineering services for environmental programs critical to military readiness and sustainability.

The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract spans a five-year base period with a five-year option period, covering restoration, conservation, environmental planning, and quality initiatives across U.S. Air Force installations and other federal agencies worldwide.

“This contract reflects the trust our federal partners place in AECOM’s technical excellence,” said Lara Poloni, AECOM President. “We’re honored to help the Air Force meet its operational and environmental responsibilities through sustainable, forward-thinking solutions.”

Supporting National Security with Sustainable Design

Under the MATOC, AECOM will deliver comprehensive services to:

  • U.S. Air Force
  • Air Force Materiel Command
  • Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center
  • AFCEC
  • Other Department of Defense and federal stakeholders

The work will span the full project lifecycle: from assessment and investigation to design, implementation, and long-term operations and maintenance.

“This is about future-ready infrastructure that meets both national security and environmental goals,” said Frank Sweet, CEO of AECOM’s global Environment business.

Part of a Growing Federal Portfolio

This win builds on AECOM’s expanding role in federal environmental and infrastructure projects. With its deep technical expertise across water, environment, transportation, and defense sectors, AECOM continues to be a go-to partner for agencies facing complex climate, regulatory, and sustainability demands.

The firm’s integrated approach combines engineering excellence, risk-informed planning, and resilience-focused delivery—qualities essential to supporting mission-critical military operations in changing global conditions.
