Arcadis Named to Delivery Team for UK Ministry of Justice Estate Expansion

Arcadis, a global leader in sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions, has been appointed as a program delivery partner by the UK Ministry of Justice to support the expansion of its prison estate. The program, delivered in collaboration with AtkinsRealis and Mott MacDonald, will focus on creating modern correctional facilities designed to improve rehabilitation outcomes.

Over the initial four-year phase, Arcadis and its partners will provide project and program management, design and engineering, information management, and health and safety advisory services. The expansion will cover both upgrades to existing facilities and the construction of new correctional infrastructure across the UK.

Alan Brookes, CEO of Arcadis, stated, “Drawing on our experience delivering correctional facilities and social infrastructure globally, we understand the critical role that thoughtful, purpose-built facilities play in supporting rehabilitation and reducing reoffending. This expansion program represents a significant step in shaping environments that help individuals rebuild their lives.”

Arcadis has a long-standing partnership with the Ministry of Justice, having worked for over 15 years on projects ranging from sustainability initiatives and health and safety programs to digital advisory and facilities management. This latest appointment reinforces Arcadis’ role as a trusted partner in delivering social infrastructure projects that combine functionality with long-term social value.
