Arup has been recognised as Britain’s Most Admired Company in the Business Support Services sector for 2025, marking the fourth time the firm has secured the top position in this category.
The accolade comes from the Britain’s Most Admired Companies rankings, the UK’s longest-running and only peer-reviewed corporate reputation survey. The 2025 result builds on Arup’s strong track record in the index, which previously named the firm Overall Britain’s Most Admired Company in 2021.
Arup’s number-one ranking in Business Support Services is based on evaluations by peers, financial analysts and City commentators across 13 drivers of corporate reputation, including leadership, governance, talent management, innovation, competitiveness and long-term value creation.
Tom Wilcock, Managing Director of Arup UKIMEA, said the recognition reflects the commitment of Arup’s people and the impact the firm delivers with clients. He added that Arup remains focused on strengthening climate resilience, advancing sustainable infrastructure, and supporting the future of cities and communities.
Sandra Macleod, Group CEO of Echo Research, noted that the study draws on insights from those with direct knowledge of corporate performance. She said Arup’s fourth top-sector ranking highlights consistent market confidence across the survey’s reputation drivers.
The Britain’s Most Admired Companies study, conducted by Echo Research in partnership with the London Stock Exchange, is now in its 36th year. The 2025 survey included input from more than 350 board-level executives, analysts and commentators, assessing 260 UK companies across 28 sectors.
