BESIX Power Expands Clean Energy in Europe

BESIX Power, a subsidiary of the BESIX Group, is expanding its work in renewable energy across Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and France. The company develops, builds, finances, and operates solar, wind, and energy storage projects for local businesses and public organizations.

Through its third-party investment model, BESIX Power covers everything from design and construction to financing and long-term operation, usually over 15 to 25 years.

Recent projects in Belgium highlight this growth:

  • Schelle: a 420 kWp solar plant powers BESIX Infra and BESIX Unitec headquarters, covering 3,700 m² of roof space.
  • Turnhout: Beneparts-Remco installed a 150 kWp solar system with EV charging, cutting CO₂ emissions by 811 tons over 20 years.
  • Lier: Heilig Hart Hospital now runs on clean energy with a 194 kWp solar system and EV charging stations.

BESIX Power is also part of larger partnerships. In Flanders, it is helping De Watergroep work toward becoming energy-neutral by 2030. This includes floating and ground-mounted solar panels, wind turbines, and energy storage with a capacity of 92 GWh per year. In Mont-Saint-Guibert, it will help transform an old sand quarry into a renewable energy hub with 12,000 solar panels, battery storage, and truck charging stations.

The company is also expanding into France and Greece, supporting local governments and businesses with customized green energy solutions.

“We are committed to delivering fast, reliable, and tailored renewable energy solutions to our partners,” said a BESIX Power spokesperson. “Our goal is to help businesses and communities achieve their energy and climate goals.”

With these new projects, BESIX Power continues to strengthen its position as a leading renewable energy partner in Europe.
