Bobcat Introduces PG1140 Portable Generator for High-Demand Jobsites

WEST FARGO, N.D. — Bobcat Company has launched the PG1140 portable generator, a new high-capacity power solution designed to combine strong performance with mobility and durability for demanding jobsites.

The PG1140 integrates two PG570 generators into a single 48-foot trailer, delivering a total output of 1140 kVA (912 kW) while reducing transportation and setup requirements. The design targets construction, industrial and emergency power applications where reliable, continuous power is essential.

Powered by dual Cummins X15 engines, the generator operates without exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), allowing dependable performance without a minimum load requirement and enabling operation in temperatures as low as -13°F (-25°C). An oversized alternator supports stable power delivery and high motor-starting demands.

The unit features over 1,300 gallons of onboard fuel and 92 gallons of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), providing more than 27 hours of runtime at 75% load. This extended runtime minimizes refueling interruptions and helps maximize productivity on site.

Designed with operator safety and ease of use in mind, the trailer offers high ground clearance, modular safety railings with ladder access, and ground-level switchgear and controls. Space behind the switchgear accommodates power distribution equipment such as cabling and spider boxes, simplifying logistics.

Additional features include flexible voltage configuration through a link board panel, shore power access for block heaters and battery chargers, and Tier 4 Final emissions compliance.

The Bobcat PG1140 portable generator is available through Bobcat dealerships across North America, further expanding the company’s portfolio of portable power solutions for large-scale and high-demand applications.
