Heidelberg Materials Expands Italian Operations with Acquisition of Cava Nord S.r.l.

Heidelberg Materials has announced the acquisition of Cava Nord S.r.l., a family-owned company based in Paderno Dugnano, north of Milan, further strengthening its footprint in Italy and supporting its commitment to sustainable building solutions.

Founded in 1962, Cava Nord is a well-established player in the Italian construction sector, specialising in the supply of aggregates and ready-mixed concrete, along with recycling of construction and demolition waste. The acquisition includes a quarry, two aggregates processing facilities, an aggregates recycling facility, and two ready-mixed concrete plants.

This acquisition enhances our vertical integration in a key market and expands our sustainable materials supply chain,” said a Heidelberg Materials representative.

This move is part of Heidelberg Materials’ ongoing portfolio optimisation strategy, aimed at reinforcing its position in core markets while increasing its ability to deliver environmentally responsible construction materials.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed by either party.
