Heidelberg Materials strengthens foot­print in Italy by acquiring Cava Nord S.r.l.

September 2025 — Milan, ItalyHeidelberg Materials has strengthened its footprint in Italy through the acquisition of Cava Nord S.r.l., a family-owned company headquartered in Paderno Dugnano, north of Milan.

Founded in 1962, Cava Nord is a well-established supplier of aggregates and ready-mixed concrete, with additional expertise in recycling construction and demolition waste. The acquisition includes:

  • One quarry
  • Two aggregates processing facilities
  • One aggregates recycling facility
  • Two ready-mixed concrete plants

This strategic move forms part of Heidelberg Materials’ ongoing portfolio optimisation. It enhances the company’s vertical integration in one of its key European markets and expands the supply of sustainable building solutions.

Both parties have agreed not to disclose financial terms of the transaction.
