Las Vegas Convention Center Completes Transformative 3.2 Million-Square-Foot Renovation

The Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) has officially completed a major 3.2 million-square-foot renovation, marking a significant milestone in the venue’s evolution as a premier global destination for conventions and large-scale events. The completion was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) alongside joint venture construction managers AECOM Hunt and The PENTA Building Group (Hunt-PENTA).

Launched in 2023, the two-year renovation modernized the LVCC’s Central, North, and South Halls and introduced a new 100,000-square-foot Grand Lobby equipped with advanced digital wayfinding. The project delivered state-of-the-art meeting and exhibition spaces, upgraded building systems, enhanced acoustics, modern digital signage, and improved technology infrastructure—significantly elevating the overall guest experience.

Despite the scale and complexity of the renovation, construction teams successfully maintained uninterrupted operations, allowing major conventions and events to continue throughout the project duration. This phased execution ensured Las Vegas retained its position as a leading host for high-profile tradeshows such as CES, SEMA, World of Concrete, and CONEXPO–CON/AGG.

The LVCC plays a critical role in Southern Nevada’s economy. In 2024 alone, Las Vegas welcomed approximately six million convention attendees, generating an estimated $16 billion in economic impact. With the renovation now complete, the convention center is preparing for a strong future event calendar, including an anticipated 48 tradeshows and more than 1.23 million attendees in 2026.

Project leaders emphasized the collaborative effort behind the renovation. Representatives from AECOM Hunt and The PENTA Building Group highlighted the coordination of hundreds of professionals and skilled trade workers required to deliver the project while keeping the facility fully operational.

The completed renovation positions the Las Vegas Convention Center for long-term success, reinforcing its status as one of the nation’s leading convention facilities and ensuring it remains competitive, flexible, and technologically advanced for decades to come.
