Liebherr Aerospace Innovations at Singapore Airshow 2026

Liebherr-Aerospace will spotlight its latest innovations and sustainable service solutions at the Singapore Airshow 2026, taking place from February 3–8, 2026, at the Changi Exhibition Centre. Visitors can explore Liebherr’s cutting-edge aerospace technologies at booth C-M65, where the company will present solutions designed to support the aviation industry’s transition toward lower emissions, digital integration, and next-generation aircraft platforms.

As the global aviation sector undergoes rapid transformation, Liebherr-Aerospace is positioning itself at the forefront of innovation across the entire aircraft life cycle, from advanced product development to enhanced aftermarket services. The company’s exhibits will reflect its readiness to support future aircraft architectures, including new aerodynamic concepts and alternative propulsion technologies.

A key highlight of Liebherr’s presence is its leadership in the development of electromechanical actuators (EMAs). Building on decades of experience and millions of flight hours, Liebherr has expanded its EMA portfolio to include solutions for medium and large commercial aircraft, as well as smaller actuators tailored for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), light aircraft, business jets, and helicopters. These scalable designs offer high reliability, compact installation, and an optimized power-to-weight ratio.

Liebherr will also showcase its renowned air cycle machines with air bearing technology, a core component of aircraft air-conditioning systems. Known for their exceptional reliability in commercial applications, these systems are evolving toward electrically or mechanically driven configurations, aligning with the industry’s push for more efficient and electrified aircraft systems.

In support of improved aerodynamics and fuel efficiency, Liebherr will present its wing folding mechanisms, enabling longer and thinner wing designs while maintaining compatibility with existing airport infrastructure. A 1:6 scale moving model will demonstrate how folding wing tips can enhance aircraft performance without compromising ground operations.

Beyond product innovation, Liebherr is emphasizing sustainable and localized customer service. Liebherr-Singapore Pte Ltd, the company’s Asia-Pacific service hub, continues to expand its in-region MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) capabilities. Recent investments include a new high-performance hydraulic test cell and a dedicated repair facility for heat transfer equipment, helping customers reduce turnaround times and carbon emissions by minimizing overseas shipments.

In December 2025, Liebherr-Aerospace reached a significant milestone by industrializing a REACh-compliant coating process in Singapore. The advanced TCS/PACS protection system enhances corrosion resistance and durability while meeting strict environmental regulations set by the European Union. Similar environmentally friendly processes are scheduled to be introduced at Liebherr’s Shanghai service center in early 2026, reinforcing the company’s global commitment to sustainable aerospace services.

With its strong focus on innovation, reliability, and sustainability, Liebherr-Aerospace’s participation in the Singapore Airshow 2026 underscores its role in shaping the future of commercial aviation.
