Liebherr Expands Its MRO Capabilities for Heat Transfer Equipment in China

Liebherr-Aerospace is enhancing its customer service capacities in China by establishing new infrastructure and intensive internal training programs for its employees. The goal is to respond faster and more efficiently to the evolving needs of Chinese customers in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of heat transfer equipment.

To further expand maintenance capabilities in Asia, Liebherr-Singapore Pte Ltd welcomed colleagues from Liebherr (China) Co., Ltd. in Singapore for specialized training sessions led by Jay Roberts, a process expert from Liebherr’s MRO heat transfer center in Saline, Michigan (USA). This initiative ensures that Liebherr’s workforce in China gains the expertise needed to provide high-quality, OEM-compliant services directly on-site.

Liebherr is steadily building up its industrial footprint in Shanghai, where its Liebherr (China) Co., Ltd. facility is equipped for MRO, testing, and reconditioning of OEM heat transfer equipment. This proximity to customers allows faster turnaround times and greater operational efficiency for Chinese airlines.

“The training underscores how Liebherr-Aerospace’s global expertise strengthens local customer service, especially for Chinese airlines that depend on customized OEM maintenance solutions,” said Eric Thévenot, General Manager of Aerospace Customer Services at Liebherr (China) Co., Ltd.

By fostering close collaboration between its global locations, Liebherr-Aerospace is meeting the growing demand for MRO services. With its products integrated into a large number of commercial aircraft worldwide, Liebherr is reinforcing its commitment to the Chinese market, ensuring high-quality support for its expanding customer base.
