Liebherr Expands Scientific Portfolio with New Combination Refrigerator-Freezer for Research and Laboratory Needs

Liebherr USA, Co. refrigerators and freezers division has announced the launch of the SCFvh 4032, a cutting-edge combination refrigerator-freezer tailored for scientific and research environments. This new addition reinforces Liebherr’s commitment to the healthcare, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors by offering an appliance that blends precision, safety, and operational efficiency.

“The SCFvh 4032 represents a significant expansion in our scientific product lineup,” said Alex Squarize, Divisional Director at Liebherr USA, Co. “It reaffirms our mission to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions for laboratories, universities, and corporate research teams while setting new standards in usability and compliance.”

Built for Precision and Protection

Engineered for demanding applications, the SCFvh 4032 offers precise temperature control:

  • Refrigerator compartment: within ±3°C of set point
  • Freezer compartment: within ±5°C

To prevent damage to critical materials, multiple alarm systems monitor temperature deviations. In the event of a malfunction that causes the temperature to drop below +2°C, the integrated SafetyDevice prevents freezing of refrigerator contents.

The unit also supports WiFi/LAN connectivity for integration with monitoring systems and offers compatibility with Liebherr’s SmartMonitoring via an external data logger—enabling real-time data logging and proactive risk mitigation.

Designed for Hygiene and Workflow Efficiency

In fast-paced lab environments, design matters. The SCFvh 4032 includes:

  • Antibacterial lever handle for improved hygiene
  • Intuitive menu navigation for effortless user control
  • Automatic door opening past 90° for easy loading/unloading
  • Smooth, easy-to-clean interior to maintain sterile conditions

These features are aimed at boosting user experience and workflow efficiency while maintaining strict hygiene standards.

Safety and Compliance at the Core

As part of Liebherr’s Perfection series, the SCFvh 4032 complies with key laboratory equipment standards, including:

  • IEC 61010-2-011
  • DIN 13277

This model is ideal for general lab applications where temperature stability, data traceability, and regulatory compliance are non-negotiable.

Availability

The SCFvh 4032 will be available for order starting March 2025, further strengthening Liebherr’s position as a trusted partner in the global scientific equipment market.
