Silence Launches First Battery Swap Stations in France

Silence, ACCIONA’s electric vehicle brand, has officially launched its first 14 battery swap stations in Paris and the surrounding metropolitan area. The company plans to expand this network to the French Riviera, including cities like Nice and Cannes, before the end of the year.

The French rollout mirrors Silence’s successful model in Spain, where more than 160 battery swap stations already operate. These stations enable users to exchange a flat battery for a fully charged one in just 30 seconds, making it even faster than traditional fuel refueling.

Most of the new swap points in France are located at Esso service stations, thanks to a strategic partnership that gives customers easy and convenient access. Additional stations are placed in key car parks and Silence dealerships across Paris.

To support this network, Silence is introducing its monthly battery subscription model, already popular in Spain. This option allows customers to buy a Silence EV without the battery, reducing the purchase cost by around 30%. Each subscription covers 12 battery cycles, which equals more than 1,500 km of driving with the NanoCar S04.

A Unified Battery Ecosystem

Silence is the first company in France to offer both two- and four-wheeled electric vehicles with a removable trolley-style battery, enabling users to share the same charging infrastructure.

The Silence S01 electric motorcycle, the best-selling model in Europe for five years, delivers a 136 km range with its 5.6 kWh battery and a top speed of 120 km/h in its S01+ version. The 2025 model includes premium upgrades such as an Öhlins rear suspension and a custom Shad seat for improved comfort and performance.

The NanoCar S04, available through Nissan dealerships, comes in two categories:

  • L6e “Unico” and “Vivo”: Light quadricycles accessible from age 14 with a top speed of 45 km/h and a range of up to 175 km with two batteries.
  • L7e “Plus”: A heavy quadricycle for drivers aged 16 and above, with a top speed of 85 km/h and up to 149 km range.

Measuring just 2.28 meters long and 1.27 meters wide, the S04 is ideal for navigating narrow city streets and low-emission zones. It features air conditioning, Bluetooth, disc brakes, a 247-liter trunk, and keyless access through the MySilence app.

A Step Forward for Urban Mobility

With this launch, Silence brings its fast, flexible, and sustainable battery-swapping model to France, giving EV users a practical alternative to traditional charging. The company’s expansion aims to make electric mobility more affordable, convenient, and accessible in major French cities.
