Silence Partners With Zetrack to Bring Removable-Battery Technology to Electric Tractors

Silence, ACCIONA’s electric vehicle brand, has signed a strategic agreement with Zetrack, Agria Hispania’s subsidiary specializing in smart agricultural machinery, to integrate Silence’s removable and interchangeable battery technology into Zetrack’s next generation of electric tractors. The collaboration aims to accelerate the decarbonization and electrification of the agricultural sector with modular, cost-efficient, and sustainable solutions.

The removable battery system — developed and manufactured at Silence’s Barcelona facility — allows batteries to be swapped in less than one minute. By applying this system to agricultural vehicles, operators can significantly reduce downtime, improve operational efficiency, and lower maintenance and charging costs. The 5.6 kWh batteries can also be charged using standard electrical outlets, offering added flexibility for rural environments.

Beyond battery integration, both companies will explore synergies in digitalization. Silence’s MySilence platform and Zetrack’s MyZetrack system will undergo joint technological development to enhance connectivity, real-time monitoring, and intelligent battery management across electric tractor fleets.

The partnership reinforces ACCIONA’s broader commitment to expanding electric mobility into new productive sectors. It also supports Zetrack’s mission to develop zero-emission agricultural machinery equipped with automation technology and advanced energy systems. The company’s electric tractors and robots are designed to deliver smart, efficient, and sustainable solutions for modern farming.

Silence, already a leader in removable-battery electric scooters and microcars, operates more than 180 battery swap stations across Spain and 20 in France. The adoption of its trolley-style, quick-swap batteries in Zetrack’s equipment marks a major step toward electrifying agricultural operations traditionally dependent on fossil fuels.
