Skanska to Build The Bend — a New Residential Tower and Hotel in Downtown Nashville for USD 175 Million

Skanska has announced a major new project in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, after signing a contract with Ridgeline Development Partners to deliver The Bend, a mixed-use development featuring a 12-story residential tower and a 9-story hotel. The contract, valued at USD 175 million (approximately SEK 1.7 billion), will be included in Skanska’s U.S. order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2025.

The Bend will encompass approximately 50,800 square meters of total space, bringing a blend of residential, hospitality, and retail opportunities to Nashville’s growing urban core.

The residential tower will include 261 modern apartments, shared amenity spaces, and three levels of below-grade parking. Alongside it, the 9-story Moxy Hotel will feature 188 guest rooms, curated amenity areas, and a vibrant ground-level experience aimed at locals and visitors alike.

The development will also include around 1,600 square meters of shell retail space, designed to attract future shopping, dining, and entertainment venues — further enhancing the downtown district’s livability and economic activity.

Construction has already begun, with site work underway, and completion expected in September 2027.

This project underscores Skanska’s continued growth in the U.S. construction market, particularly within the urban mixed-use and hospitality sectors, where demand for sustainable, community-focused developments continues to accelerate.
