Thousands of New Homes Being Delivered on Melbourne’s Doorstep

Lendlease accelerates delivery of over 2,300 new homes across Docklands as demand for quality urban living rises.

Lendlease is fast-tracking the development of more than 2,300 new homes in Melbourne’s Docklands, with major construction activity underway at Victoria Harbour and Melbourne Quarter. The surge comes as Melbourne continues to face high demand for well-connected housing close to the CBD.

Growth at Victoria Harbour

Construction is rapidly progressing at Victoria Harbour, where Collins Street meets the water. The area now has over 1,100 homes under development across two residential projects — Ancora and Regatta — alongside a build-to-rent tower at 899 Collins Street.

Located between the Yarra River, Harbour Esplanade and the harbour, this precinct is shaping into a vibrant new neighbourhood just one tram stop away from Melbourne CBD.

Strong Sales & Fast-Tracking the Next Phase

Sales at Ancora and Regatta have been strong — 77% of homes are already sold. To meet the ongoing demand, Lendlease is fast-tracking the next building – Aluna, which will add 400+ homes and bring the total delivery at Victoria Harbour to over 1,500 residences. Registrations and EOIs for Aluna are now open.

Construction is also progressing strongly at 899 Collins Street build-to-rent project, providing a diverse mix of housing options for both buyers and renters.

Total Contribution to Housing Supply

Including Lendlease’s Melbourne Quarter build-to-rent project near Southern Cross Station, the total number of homes currently being delivered in the area reaches around 2,300 — a major boost to Victoria’s housing supply needs.

Public Spaces & Community Development

The completion of these residential buildings — expected from late this year — will align with the opening of new public areas including:

  • Bourke Dock: A community meeting space with public art by First Nations artist Reko Rennie
  • New park along Collins Street extension under the City of Melbourne’s Greenline Vision

Key Statements

Adam Williams, Executive Director Development, Lendlease:
“The delivery of c. 2,300 diverse homes demonstrates sustained demand for Victoria Harbour and our capability to deliver quality housing at scale – contributing significantly to Victoria’s housing supply.”

Nick Reece, Lord Mayor of Melbourne:
“Melbourne needs more homes — and quality must match quantity. We welcome Lendlease’s continued investment in liveability, creating urban housing surrounded by green spaces and waterways, all within walking distance of the CBD.”
