Turner Construction Company and D.A. Everett Construction Group, in partnership with Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE), the City of Charlotte, and the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, have announced the completion of a major renovation of Spectrum Center, home of the Charlotte Hornets.
The multi-phase modernization project has redefined the fan experience across the venue, enhancing everything from concourses and hospitality spaces to back-of-house operations. The transformed Spectrum Center reopens as a premier destination for sports, entertainment, and community gatherings in the Carolinas.
The arena reopened this week with a star-studded concert lineup, followed by the Hornets’ 2025–26 home opener, marking a new chapter in its 20-year legacy.
“The transformed Spectrum Center is a testament to what’s possible when passion, partnership, and purpose come together,” said Shelly Cayette-Weston, President of Business Operations, HSE. “Together with our project partners, we’ve delivered a world-class arena that elevates every fan experience and celebrates the spirit of the Carolinas.”
The project was guided by a focus on accessibility, comfort, and technology, introducing frictionless entry systems, expanded Carolina-inspired dining options, and new premium and family-friendly spaces, including a sensory room and parents’ room.
