Berkeley, California — Turner Construction Company, alongside representatives from Bakar Labs, UC Berkeley, Gensler, and A Squared Solutions, has officially broken ground on the Bakar Labs for Energy + Materials, a cutting-edge 146,000-square-foot facility dedicated to advancing innovation in energy and materials technologies.

Designed by Gensler, the five-story building will offer flexible and adaptable laboratory space, including advanced research areas, collaboration zones, 3D printing studios, meeting rooms, and offices. The facility aims to support early-stage companies and pioneering research projects in emerging energy and materials sectors.

Manu Garg, Project Executive at Turner Construction Company, expressed pride in the collaboration, saying:
