Turner Construction Launches First Equipment Company

Turner Construction Company has announced the launch of First Equipment Company (FEC), a new centralized equipment rental and site services business designed to streamline project delivery and support trade contractors across the United States.

The new company formalizes and expands a model already deployed on several large-scale and advanced technology projects, where centralized equipment and site services have improved coordination and field productivity. With this launch, FEC will now support Turner projects nationwide and serve more than 40,000 trade contractors annually. The company will also provide services to other general contractors and trade partners across the U.S.

First Equipment Company consolidates the sourcing, management, and support of a wide range of construction needs, including heavy equipment, operating machinery, temporary power and lighting, office and restroom trailers, fencing, and site control systems. By offering a single point of contact and standardized processes, FEC aims to reduce administrative complexity and improve reliability at the jobsite.

The initiative forms part of Turner’s broader investment in enhanced project delivery capabilities, alongside platforms such as xPL Offsite, SourceBlue, the Turner Accelerated Payment Program, the Turner Engineering Group, and expanded self-perform operations. Together, these services reflect Turner’s strategy to improve efficiency, strengthen trade partner collaboration, and deliver greater value to clients.

According to Turner leadership, FEC is structured as a wholly owned subsidiary, operating as a dedicated equipment organization while aligning with Turner’s enterprise standards and purchasing power. The company integrates procurement, logistics, operations, and on-the-ground support through locally embedded teams with deep construction expertise.

By centralizing equipment and site services, Turner expects FEC to help project teams and contractors focus more fully on execution, safety, and quality—while reinforcing consistent service delivery across projects of all sizes.
