Turner Construction UIC Parking Garage Milestone

Chicago, Illinois — Turner Construction Company has reached a major construction milestone with the topping out of a $55 million, eight-story parking garage at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). The event marks the completion of vertical construction on the approximately 1,000-space facility.

Designed by Gensler in collaboration with WGI, the new garage is intended to improve campus accessibility and accommodate UIC’s growing population of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The topping-out milestone was celebrated with a luncheon recognizing the collaborative efforts of the project team and construction workforce.

“This topping out represents the strength of our partnership with UIC and the dedication of everyone involved in the project,” said Erin Cullen, Project Executive at Turner Construction Company. “We are proud to deliver a critical piece of infrastructure that will serve the university community for years to come.”

Construction on the Turner Construction UIC parking garage is continuing, with project completion expected in Summer 2026.
