RESAG Recycling und Sortierwerk Bern AG, founded in 1988, employs 16 people and primarily processes commercial waste from the industrial and construction sectors. The company handles materials such as wood, scrap iron, packaging, construction waste, and plaster, ensuring that over 85% of the waste is returned to the material cycle. Quality, environmental protection, and workplace safety remain top priorities under the leadership of Managing Director René Schneider.
The approx. 60 m long rail, on which the SENNEBOGEN 830 E electric material handler is mounted, runs through the centre of the sorting plant hall. It sorts and loads material delivered by trucks, performing tasks such as unloading, coarse sorting, feeding the sorting system, and loading skips underneath the rails. After replacing the previous machine, which had been in use for around 10 years, the company invested in the SENNEBOGEN 830 E, which operates for 2,000 to 2,500 hours per year.
The machine features a 15.5 m long curved “Banana” type attachment, providing greater reach and depth to cover its working area efficiently. This allows it to access all systems, containers, and lower-lying skips effortlessly. The 132 kW electric motor ensures highly efficient operations.
ELECTRIC MACHINE AS THE IDEAL SOLUTION FOR INDOOR USE
Managing Director René Schneider highlights the advantages of the SENNEBOGEN 830 E: “We can work emission-free, extremely quietly, with low vibration, and very efficiently.” This is crucial in the closed hall environment for a healthy and pleasant workplace. The machine eliminates the need for refuelling and features a rear installation of maintenance points for easy access. Additionally, its all-round railing and platform next to the cab enhance driver safety and accessibility, making it an ideal choice for indoor operations.
