August 2025 — Saint-Gobain, a global leader in sustainable construction, has reinforced its construction chemicals platform through three bolt-on acquisitions across strategic markets: Interstar Materials in North America, Isoltech in Italy, and Soquimic in Peru.
These acquisitions strengthen Saint-Gobain’s position in the growing construction chemicals sector, securing advanced technologies and expanding its global footprint:
- Interstar Materials, founded in 1987, is a North American manufacturer specializing in high-performance granular pigments for concrete. With facilities in Quebec, Alberta, and Illinois, Interstar adds value to Saint-Gobain’s decorative concrete portfolio, offering vibrant, eco-friendly coloring solutions for façades, flooring, and architectural concrete.
- Isoltech, an Italian manufacturer, brings expertise in cellular concrete technology, delivering lightweight concrete solutions known for thermal and acoustic insulation, fire resistance, and sustainability. Based in Verdellino, northern Italy, Isoltech supports Saint-Gobain’s focus on low-carbon construction.
- Soquimic, established in 2013 in Peru, produces concrete admixtures and operates plants in Lurin and Arequipa. This acquisition follows the 2021 purchase of Z Aditivos and enhances Saint-Gobain’s market presence in the Peruvian construction sector.
Combined, the three companies generate approximately €25 million in annual revenue. They will now benefit from Chryso’s R&D and innovation capabilities and Saint-Gobain’s global distribution strength to advance low-carbon material solutions.
These acquisitions align with Saint-Gobain’s “Grow & Impact” strategic plan, aimed at expanding its global leadership and enriching its offerings for light and sustainable construction.
Saint-Gobain, celebrating its 360th anniversary in 2025, operates in over 80 countries with more than 161,000 employees and €46.6 billion in sales in 2024. The Group is committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
