Skanska Secures NOK 2.8 Billion Contract to Construct New Government Building in Oslo

Skanska has entered into a contract with Statsbygg to build a significant portion of the new Government Quarter in Oslo, Norway. The contract, valued at approximately NOK 2.8 billion (about SEK 2.7 billion), will be reflected in Skanska’s Nordic order bookings for the first quarter of 2025.

The project entails the construction of a 26,800-square-meter building, including a basement, making it the second-largest structure within the new Government Quarter. The building is designed to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification, emphasizing its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.

Construction is scheduled to commence in January 2025, with the project expected to reach completion in September 2029.
