New Holland’s Next-Gen PowerStar™ Series Tractors Offer Powerful Utility Inside and Out

For decades, New Holland’s PowerStar™ Series tractors have been synonymous with power, utility, and comfort. The next generation continues this legacy, offering enhanced utility, sleek new styling, increased comfort, and a wide array of productivity-boosting features across all four models: PowerStar 90, 100, 110, and 120.

“These new PowerStar tractors redefine expectations for what a utility tractor can achieve,” says Lena Patton, North American Product Marketing Manager, New Holland. “The upgrades include a new hood with Connective Flow styling, LU Series front loaders, and larger tires. Inside the VisionView™ cab, operators will experience enhanced productivity with a new seat, digital instrument cluster, high-visibility panel, and loader joystick.”

Power and Efficiency in Every Model

As the name suggests, the PowerStar Series is all about power. Under the hood, each model is powered by an FPT Industrial 3.6-liter, four-cylinder engine, delivering fuel efficiency and performance.

“We know our customers prioritize reducing fuel costs. While these engines continue to use common rail fuel injection technology, we’ve also improved performance and fuel efficiency by increasing the stroke length and displacement,” Patton explains.

These tractors comply with Stage V emissions standards, reducing particulate matter by 40% compared to Tier 4B models. The Compact HI-eSCR 2 technology enhances efficiency, providing higher torque and up to five more horsepower. A 3.4-gallon DEF tank, a U-shaped exhaust, and a concealed emissions system improve visibility and fuel economy, making loader work more convenient. With a larger fuel tank and extended 600-hour service intervals, operators benefit from maximum uptime.

Versatile Transmission for Any Task

A 12×12 transmission with an electronic power shuttle is available on the PowerStar 100, 110, and 120, while the 24×24 Dual Command™ transmission is optional for all four models. The Dual Command transmission offers a Hi-Lo speed shift in each of the four gears, allowing for quick speed adjustments at the push of a button—ideal for challenging field conditions and PTO-driven implements.

“For added convenience, the PowerClutch button allows operators to shift gears without using the clutch pedal,” Patton adds.

A new Dynamic Start-Stop feature, or “brake-to-clutch”, further enhances ease of use on 12×12 and 24×24 models. This function helps reduce operator fatigue during frequent stops, such as during round baling, by automatically stopping and restarting the tractor when the brake pedal is pressed and released.

Enhanced Loader Performance with LU Series Front Loaders

The all-new LU Series front loaders are designed specifically for the PowerStar Series, offering increased lifting capacity, greater height, faster cycle times, and improved visibility.

Customers can choose between:

  • 650LU (non-self-leveling) – Ideal for standard-duty applications
  • 655LU (mechanical-self-leveling) – Provides higher lift capacity

A skid-steer or Euro-style quick-attach faceplate, a third-function diverter valve for attachments like grapple buckets, and a soft ride system to reduce shocks further enhance functionality.

The loader’s attachment point is positioned closer to the tractor’s rear axle, improving stability and lifting power. A 21.7-gallon-per-minute hydraulic implement pump35% larger than previous models—ensures faster response times. Sloped loader arms align with the hood’s contour, optimizing visibility.

Installation and removal are also easier, thanks to a multi-connection coupler, which allows for simultaneous hydraulic hose connections.

To increase efficiency, a new joystick on Dual Command models integrates functions like loader control, gear shifting, and engine speed adjustments, enabling operators to lift and shuttle simultaneously.

“We’ve designed the perfect partner for a PowerStar,” says Patton. “With responsive power, superior hydraulics, ideal weight balance, and visibility, these tractors will elevate productivity.”

Refined VisionView™ Cab for Comfort and Control

While maintaining the ergonomic control layout of the VisionView™ cab, this next generation introduces new comfort and productivity features, including:

  • New air suspension seat for a smoother ride
  • Digital instrument cluster for greater operational insights
  • Super-high visibility panel for improved loader visibility
  • Comfort Ride™ cab suspension (available on Dual Command models), which reduces operator shock loads by 25%

Coming Soon to Dealers and Shows

The new PowerStar Series tractors will arrive at dealerships in Q4 2025.

  • A 12×12 PowerStar 120 will be on display at the 2025 World Ag Expo (Feb. 11-13, Tulare, Calif.) in the New Holland booth (South Exhibits, corner of “N” Street and South Street/South Greenbelt).
  • A 24×24 Dual Command PowerStar 120 will be at the 2025 National Farm Machinery Show (Feb. 12-15, Louisville, Ky.), in the New Holland booth (#6049, South Wing A exhibit hall).
