Liebherr Showcases Desert-Ready HVAC System at Global Rail 2025 in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, UAE – September 2025 — Liebherr-Transportation Systems will present its innovative heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) solutions for rail applications at Global Rail 2025, taking place from September 30 to October 2 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC). Visitors can explore Liebherr’s technologies at Hall 3, Booth 3C21, within the German Pavilion.

The highlight of the showcase will be a newly developed HVAC system designed specifically for desert climates. In regions where daytime temperatures can soar above 50°C and drop sharply at night, rail operators face unique challenges in ensuring passenger comfort. Liebherr’s system integrates advanced filtration technology to remove fine dust and sand particles, maintaining clean, cooled air inside train compartments.

“We are very pleased to present our products and capabilities for railway applications at Global Rail this year,” said Andreas Walter, General Manager of Liebherr Transportation Systems (China) Co. Ltd. “Our visitors can expect innovative HVAC solutions for comfort and reliability, and we look forward to engaging with customers and industry partners.”

Hosted by Etihad Rail in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure, Global Rail 2025 brings together leading players in rail innovation and infrastructure development.
