Copenhagen, Denmark – In a significant residential investment, Home.Earth has acquired the fully-let CF Møllers Have property in Ørestad, Copenhagen, from Skanska A/S for DKK 520 million. The development, which features 156 apartments across 12,000 m², has quickly become a sought-after residential community since welcoming its first tenants in December 2023.
From Parking Lot to Flourishing Courtyard
Originally zoned for a parking garage, the project was transformed through a creative collaboration between Skanska and By & Havn into a vibrant housing development—complete with an underground garage, freeing the surface for a lush courtyard. The resulting green space includes play areas, a greenhouse, and a communal room that doubles as a social hub connected to the shared laundry.
Skanska took further steps to foster a strong resident community, partnering with specialists to organize seasonal events and workshops, such as Halloween and Christmas activities. The property layout—designed by Sweco Architects—emphasizes both privacy and social interaction, with each apartment featuring either a balcony or private terrace.
DGNB Gold: A Benchmark in Sustainability
Certified to DGNB Gold by the Danish Council for Sustainable Building, CF Møllers Have meets rigorous criteria across environmental, social, technical, and economic dimensions. Features contributing to this certification include:
- Use of recycled materials in common areas
- Centralized laundry system for reduced water and energy use
- A combined waste and exchange room
- Bicycle workshop for active mobility support
A Strategic Investment in Urban Growth
“Skanska develops residential properties for investors, where we focus on good locations, more sustainable solutions and community-based activities,” said Peter Nymann-Jørgensen, CEO, Skanska A/S. “We see CF Møllers Have as a great success with future-oriented solutions in construction and a close-knit community.”
Home.Earth echoed this sentiment, highlighting the project’s alignment with their values.
“The inviting courtyard and common areas support togetherness and good neighborly relations,” said Michael Helbo, Director of Investment and Development at Home.Earth. “The combination of a strong product and the location in a growth area in Greater Copenhagen makes the project an attractive investment.”
Building Momentum in 2024
This deal marks Skanska’s third major property agreement in 2024, following forward purchase deals with Nrep for Hørkær Have in Herlev and a new hotel and residential project also planned for Ørestad.
The acquisition of CF Møllers Have solidifies Home.Earth’s commitment to sustainable, community-driven urban living and adds to their growing portfolio of purposefully designed residential assets across Denmark.
