ADRENA Adventure District Saudi Arabia: A New Era

ADRENA Adventure District Saudi Arabia: A New Era

New entertainment hub featuring Saudi Arabia’s largest saltwater surf pool opens March 1

Red Sea Global (RSG) has announced the launch of ADRENA, a new adventure and entertainment hub set to open to the public on March 1 following a soft launch beginning February 15.

The ADRENA adventure district Saudi Arabia will serve guests visiting The Red Sea destination and surrounding areas, offering more than 20 land and water-based experiences in a purpose-built coastal setting near Shura Island.

First-of-Its-Kind Adventure Zone in the Region

Positioned as the first district of its kind in the region, ADRENA combines high-energy sports, family attractions and evening entertainment.

Signature features include:

  • A 215-meter saltwater surf pool, set to be the largest in Saudi Arabia
  • Waves up to 2.1 meters, customizable by skill level
  • A wakeboarding lake
  • Snorkel trails
  • A 6-meter-deep diving pool
  • Overwater zip line
  • 10-meter “slip ‘n’ fly” slide
  • Skatepark and BMX pump track
  • Beach football and volleyball courts

Family-friendly attractions include a children’s waterplay area and a floating inflatable obstacle course.

Day-to-Night Entertainment

Beyond adventure sports, ADRENA will feature a social and lifestyle component, including:

  • A beach club with sunset views over the Red Sea
  • Live music programming
  • A DJ-led evening atmosphere
  • South American-inspired cuisine
  • A curated mocktail menu

The district is designed to transition from high-adrenaline daytime activities to relaxed evening entertainment.

Designed for Accessibility and Sustainability

RSG confirmed that ADRENA has been developed with accessibility in mind, offering zero-depth pool entries and adaptable options for bodyboarding, paddleboarding, diving and snorkeling.

The project also follows RSG’s regenerative development model. A closed-loop seawater system filters and circulates water through attractions before returning it clean to the sea. Freshwater used on-site is reused for irrigation to minimize environmental impact.

ADRENA will be operated by Red Sea Sports & Entertainment Co., which also manages WAMA (water sports), Galaxea (underwater experiences) and Akun (land-based adventures).

Expanding The Red Sea Destination

The Red Sea destination welcomed its first guests in 2023 and now includes nine hotels and Thuwal Private Retreat. Red Sea International Airport serves as the primary gateway, offering domestic and international connections from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dubai, Doha and Milan.

With its mix of extreme sports, family attractions and sustainable design, the ADRENA adventure district Saudi Arabia represents a significant expansion of experiential tourism offerings along the Red Sea coast.
