Bobcat Compact Loaders 2026: New Features Unveiled

Bobcat Compact Loaders 2026: New Features Unveiled

WEST FARGO, N.D., March 3, 2026 – Bobcat Company has introduced the next evolution of its compact loader lineup at the industry-leading construction trade show CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, unveiling a range of machines designed to provide greater choice, advanced technology, and enhanced operator control across its portfolio.

The newly updated lineup represents one of the most significant changes to Bobcat’s compact equipment offerings in recent years. The company has reorganized its loader portfolio into two clear categories—Classic and Pro—allowing contractors, landscapers, and equipment operators to more easily select machines suited to their specific operational requirements.

The launch also highlights Bobcat’s focus on integrating advanced technologies into jobsite equipment, including the industry’s first AI-enabled compact equipment assistant, designed to simplify operations and improve productivity.

Addressing Workforce Challenges in Construction

The new loader lineup arrives at a time when the construction industry is facing significant workforce changes. Industry forecasts suggest that 41% of the U.S. construction workforce is expected to retire by 2031, creating growing demand for equipment that can be operated efficiently by workers with varying levels of experience.

According to Mike Ballweber, President of Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc., the company’s latest machines are designed to address these evolving workforce needs.

“Nearly 70 years ago, Bobcat introduced the world’s first compact loader, defining an entirely new way to work on the jobsite,” Ballweber said. “This evolution of Bobcat loaders builds on that legacy by pairing the power and durability our customers expect with intelligence and simplicity designed for a changing workforce.”

Two Categories: Classic and Pro Loaders

To simplify equipment selection, Bobcat has divided its compact loaders into two primary categories.

Classic: Proven Performance and Familiar Controls

The Classic loader range focuses on reliable performance and familiar controls, making it suitable for landscapers, rental fleets, and general construction tasks.

Classic models include:

  • Compact Track Loaders: T450, T595, T650, T770
  • Skid-Steer Loaders: S70, S450, S590, S650, S770

These machines feature traditional Bobcat controls, including selectable joystick controls (SJC) or optional hand-and-foot controls. Additional features include two-speed travel, automatic ride control, keyless ignition, and a deluxe display with an optional rear camera.

Pro: Advanced Technology and Enhanced Performance

The Pro loader category introduces advanced technology and performance enhancements aimed at operators requiring higher productivity and precision.

Pro models include:

  • Compact Track Loaders: T64-2, T66-2, T76-2, T86-2
  • Skid-Steer Loaders: S64-2, S66-2, S76-2, S86-2

Among the standout models are the T86-2 and S86-2, which deliver 115 horsepower and a 12-foot lift height, enabling operators to tackle heavy-duty applications.

These loaders also feature four customizable drive modes:

  • Balanced: Smooth control for precision tasks like grading and material placement
  • Agile: Versatile performance for everyday operations
  • Dynamic: Faster response and acceleration for productivity-focused work
  • Charged: Maximum responsiveness for experienced operators in open areas

Additional improvements include structural weight reductions for better agility, redesigned electrical systems for improved reliability, and upgraded operator cabins with heated air-ride seats and an 8-inch touchscreen display with infotainment and integrated rear camera.

AI-Powered Jobsite Technologies

Alongside the new machines, Bobcat introduced a range of intelligent technology solutions designed to enhance safety, efficiency, and jobsite awareness.

Jobsite Companion

The Bobcat Jobsite Companion is the first AI-enabled assistant in the compact equipment industry. Available as an option on Pro loaders in the United States, the system allows operators to use voice commands, automate attachment settings, and access real-time jobsite insights.

The platform can automate more than 50 machine functions and includes a job cost dashboard that tracks operational costs against project estimates to help improve profitability.

Jobsite Awareness Systems

Bobcat also introduced a new jobsite awareness suite powered by camera and radar technologies.

These include:

  • Bobcat View Camera System: Provides rear or wide-area views covering the rear and sides of the machine.
  • Rear Object Detection and Avoidance: A radar-based system capable of alerting operators or slowing and stopping the loader if objects or people are detected behind the machine.
  • 360 People Detection: A camera-based system that identifies and alerts operators to the presence of people around the equipment.

These technologies are designed to enhance situational awareness in busy and demanding work environments.

Accelerating Innovation in Compact Equipment

According to Brad Claus, Senior Vice President of North America Construction Equipment at Bobcat Company, the company’s shift from traditional product series to equipment categories will enable faster innovation.

“With our shift from series to categories, we will release innovations more frequently at the model level, without waiting for an entirely new series to launch,” Claus said. “This allows us to deliver meaningful updates to customers more often.”

Availability and Industry Showcase

Attendees at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 can explore the new Bobcat loader lineup at booth W40745 in the West Hall. The newly enhanced models are expected to become available at select North American dealerships beginning summer 2026.
