Eiffage Wins €50.8M Contract for Bordeaux Hospital’s Biology Institute

Eiffage Construction, in a consortium, has secured the design-build contract for the Institute of Biology and Pathology at Bordeaux University Hospital in Pessac, France. The contract, valued at €50.8 million, includes Eiffage’s €29 million share as the lead contractor.

Project Overview

The new five-story institute, covering 16,460 m², will serve as a central hub within the Haut-Lévêque site, connecting the logistics hub (north) with the cardiology and care buildings (south). It will house:
Laboratories
Offices
Storage facilities
A central patio area

Sustainability & Innovation

The project is designed using BIM (Building Information Modeling), ensuring high environmental and energy performance. Key sustainability features include:
