Franz Bracht Group Expands Fleet with Second Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 Crane

Franz Bracht Kran-Vermietung GmbH has added a second Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane to its growing fleet, reaffirming a partnership with Liebherr that spans over 50 years. The latest acquisition will replace an older 700-tonne crane and boost Bracht’s large crane capabilities—especially in the wind energy sector, where demand is fully booked until late 2026.

“The LTM 1750-9.1 has proven its abilities within our group for a decade. So we decided to acquire another crane just like it,” said Managing Director Dirk Bracht.

🔧 Proven Power Meets Innovation

The first assignment for the new LTM 1750-9.1 was at a wind farm in Lünen, where it replaced a 50-tonne rotor at 100 meters hub height. Configured with a 49.1m telescopic boom, 42m luffing jib, and 204 tonnes of ballast, the crane reached a hoisting height of 110 meters. Following this, it was quickly deployed to Olpe for wind turbine tower installation and later moved on to refinery work.

🚛 What Sets the LTM 1750-9.1 Apart?

  • Full boom transport on public roads
  • Rear support self-installation using integrated hydraulics
  • LIKUFIX hydraulic quick-change system for faster superstructure setup
  • High load capacity ideal for wind energy applications

“With the LIKUFIX system, it’s a particularly simple and fast process. Our first LTM 1750-9.1 didn’t even have that,” Bracht noted.

🏗️ A Legacy of Lifting Since 1964

Founded in 1964, Franz Bracht Kran-Vermietung GmbH operates with the motto “Lust auf Last” (Enthusiasm for Heavy Loads). With 16 locations, 800 employees, and over 1,400 vehicles including 300 mobile cranes, the group has become a cornerstone of the heavy lifting industry in Europe.

The partnership with Liebherr began in 1975, starting with an LG 1130 lattice boom crane. Since then, the relationship has expanded to include not just equipment but service, engineering, and innovation.
