Herman Miller and Heath Ceramics Gathered Collection Review

Herman Miller and Heath Ceramics have introduced Gathered, a limited-edition ceramics collection that brings together the two brands’ shared commitment to timeless design, responsible manufacturing, and enduring craftsmanship.

The collection spans statement serving pieces and distinctive dinnerware, designed to be both functional and visually expressive for everyday use. Drawing on decades of design leadership, the collaboration balances Heath’s handcrafted ceramic heritage with Herman Miller’s modern design philosophy, creating a collection that feels authentic to both brands while offering something entirely new.

“At Heath, we design by making—with our hands, with the clay, and through a process rooted in curiosity, integrity of material, and craft,” said Rosalie Wild, Design Director at Heath Ceramics. “Collaborating with Herman Miller allowed us to explore bold form and color while celebrating our shared heritage of American-made, deeply modern design.”

The color palette is defined by tonal yellows grounded in neutral shades and energized by secondary hues and a striking chartreuse accent. The collection incorporates colors from Heath’s archive alongside two new glazes, Pesto and Blossom, reflecting Herman Miller’s long-standing design principle of creating visual interest through contrast and harmony.

All pieces are made using Heath’s signature California clay body, which has been in continuous use since 1948. The seven-piece assortment includes designs from Heath’s historic Coupe line, the iconic Studio Mug originally designed by Edith Heath in the 1950s, and a new Dinner Bowl inspired by rare archival forms. The Dinner Bowl blends the functionality of both plate and bowl, offering versatility for a wide range of meals.

The Gathered collection complements Herman Miller’s Land Dining and Storage Collection, reinforcing a shared materials-driven approach to design across furniture and tabletop products.

The limited-edition collection is available through Herman Miller’s North American online store, Heath Ceramics’ online store, all Heath showrooms, and select Herman Miller retail locations, while supplies last.

Together, Herman Miller and Heath Ceramics present Gathered as a celebration of enduring design values—where craft, innovation, and responsible production come together in thoughtfully made home goods.
