As a family-run company, SENNEBOGEN has been a leader in the construction and material handling industries for over 73 years. Based in Lower Bavaria, the company offers a wide range of solutions, including:

DEUTZ: 161 Years of Powertrain Innovation

With 161 years of tradition, DEUTZ AG is a global leader in innovative drive systems. Headquartered in Cologne, DEUTZ specializes in off-highway applications with power outputs up to 620 kW, focusing on:

  • High-efficiency, low-emission diesel engines
  • Hydrogen-powered engines
  • Electrification technologies

A Partnership Rooted in History

Collaboration Since the 1950s

The partnership began in the 1950s when Erich Sennebogen recognized the strategic fit between SENNEBOGEN machines and DEUTZ engines. Early milestones included:

  • S802 & S803 duty cycle crawler cranes (1961) – Powered by a 22 HP Deutz 2-cylinder diesel engine
  • SH40 hydraulic excavator – Equipped with a 49 HP air-cooled Deutz 4-cylinder diesel engine

Many of these historic machines are still on display at the Erich Sennebogen Museum in Straubing. Over the years, SENNEBOGEN integrated DEUTZ engines into a wide range of cranes, duty cycle cranes, and hydraulic excavators, delivering them to customers worldwide.
