Sidłowo Kikowo Dobrowo Solar Farm Poland Project Overview

Sidłowo Kikowo Dobrowo Solar Farm Poland Project Overview

Goldbeck Solar’s Polish subsidiary, Goldbeck Solar Polska, has signed a contract to build one of Europe’s largest photovoltaic energy projects — the 722MWp Sidłowo–Kikowo–Dobrowo solar farm in northwestern Poland.

The large-scale renewable energy development will consist of three major solar power plants, forming a significant addition to the country’s growing clean energy infrastructure.

Three large photovoltaic plants

The project will be developed across three sites:

  • Sidłowo Solar Plant – 290 MWp
  • Kikowo Solar Plant – 235 MWp
  • Dobrowo Solar Plant – 197 MWp

Together, the facilities will deliver a total capacity of 722 MWp, placing the project among the largest solar power installations in Europe.

Grid connection and infrastructure

The solar farm will be connected to Poland’s national power network through the STR LKO 400/110 kV intermediate substation, enabling efficient transmission of the generated electricity.

Under the contract, Goldbeck Solar Polska will handle the full engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) scope for the development, including:

  • Construction of all three photovoltaic plants
  • Development of associated substations
  • Installation of high-voltage cable routes
  • Integration with national grid infrastructure

Part of a wider renewable energy strategy

The project forms part of a broader renewable energy initiative led by Optima Wind, Virya Energy and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

These partners are launching Virya Renewables Poland, a new renewable energy platform focused on expanding clean power generation across the country.

According to project stakeholders, the platform already has a development pipeline exceeding 2 GW of potential renewable capacity, highlighting Poland’s increasing focus on large-scale solar energy as part of its energy transition strategy.
