WARSAW, Poland — Skanska has announced a significant real estate investment of PLN 163 million (approximately SEK 410 million) to acquire land for a new residential development in Warsaw, Poland. The property, located on Bokserska Street in the Mokotów district, was purchased from the special purpose company Bokserska 64 and will be transformed into a modern residential complex featuring apartments, commercial units, and green public spaces.
The investment reflects Skanska’s continued strategy of expanding residential projects in key European urban markets while contributing to sustainable urban development.
Redevelopment of a 3-Hectare Site
The acquired property covers approximately three hectares and currently includes industrial warehouses and office facilities. Under the new plan, the site will be redeveloped into a multi-family residential complex with around 750 housing units.
In addition to residential buildings, the project will feature over 1,000 square meters of commercial space located on the ground floors. These retail and service units are intended to support everyday needs for residents and contribute to the neighborhood’s local economy.
Green Spaces and Community-Focused Design
A key component of the development is the inclusion of accessible public space. The project will incorporate landscaped areas, including a public park of approximately 650 square meters designed for both residents and the surrounding community.
Such green infrastructure is increasingly considered essential in modern urban developments, helping improve quality of life while supporting environmental sustainability in densely populated cities.
Mokotów: One of Warsaw’s Most Attractive Districts
The new residential complex will be located in Mokotów, one of Warsaw’s largest and most sought-after residential districts. Mokotów is known for its diverse urban landscape, combining dense modern developments with historic villas and expansive green spaces.
The district’s strong transport connectivity, residential appeal, and proximity to business centers have made it a popular location for housing investments and urban regeneration projects.
Strengthening Housing Supply in Warsaw
With demand for housing continuing to grow in Warsaw, the project is expected to contribute significantly to the city’s residential supply. The planned development combines housing, retail services, and public green spaces, aligning with broader urban planning goals that emphasize mixed-use communities and improved living environments.
Skanska’s investment underscores the company’s commitment to developing sustainable residential projects that balance housing demand with community-oriented infrastructure.
