Las Vegas, United States | CES 2026 — Doosan Group Chairman Jeongwon Park said the company aims to pioneer the energy market in the AI era through customized energy solutions, as senior leadership explored emerging technologies, business opportunities, and global talent recruitment at CES 2026.
Speaking after touring Doosan’s exhibition booth, Chairman Park highlighted the rapid growth in power demand driven by artificial intelligence, particularly from data centers operating around the clock.
“With the advent of the AI era, power demand—especially from data centers—is expected to surge, and energy supply methods will increasingly diversify,” Park said. “Doosan will lead the energy market by offering energy solutions capable of addressing diverse requirements.”
Leadership explores AI trends and opportunities
Chairman Park visited CES on January 7 alongside senior executives including Vice Chairman Geewon Park, Doosan Enerbility Vice Chairman Yeon-in Jung, and Doosan Bobcat Vice Chairman Scott Park. The delegation reviewed global AI trends and assessed new business opportunities across energy, construction equipment, and robotics.
CES 2026 also marked the final round of Doosan’s global onsite open recruitment, with Chairman Park personally participating in interviews to secure AI-focused talent.
Energy solutions for the AI era
Doosan’s booth in the West Hall was themed “Powered by Doosan”, showcasing a portfolio designed to support rising AI-driven power needs.
At the center was a model of Doosan’s 380-megawatt large-scale gas turbine, designed to deliver stable, continuous power. In 2025, Doosan signed a contract to supply five units to a leading U.S. technology company, reinforcing the turbine’s role as a reliable energy source for AI data centers.
Also on display was a small modular reactor (SMR), positioned as a next-generation power solution. Its modular design allows flexible, demand-based deployment, while hydrogen fuel cell systems offer short construction periods and scalable configurations for both primary and backup power.
Together, these offerings underline Doosan’s push to deliver AI-era energy solutions that combine stability, flexibility, and lower emissions.
Physical AI in construction and robotics
Beyond energy, Doosan highlighted its advances in physical AI, drawing on its manufacturing expertise and extensive hardware data.
Doosan Bobcat introduced software such as “Jobsite Companion,” a voice-based AI assistant for field workers, and “Bobcat Service.AI,” which improves maintenance efficiency. Doosan Robotics showcased “Scan & Go,” a no-code, AI-powered 3D vision system that automates industrial tasks. The solution won the Best of Innovation Award (AI category) and Innovation Award Honoree (Robotics category) at CES 2026.
Global talent recruitment at CES
For the first time, Doosan conducted overseas onsite recruitment interviews during CES, targeting international engineering students studying in the United States. Many applicants were master’s and doctoral graduates from top universities.
Since September 2025, Doosan has visited more than 10 leading institutions, including MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Purdue, and Georgia Tech, to attract talent for R&D roles in AI, gas turbines, nuclear power, and robotics.
Successful candidates are offered industry-leading compensation, industry–academia scholarships of up to 36 months for current students, and immediate employment upon graduation.
Looking ahead
A Doosan representative said CES 2026 served a dual purpose: showcasing the company’s differentiated technology portfolio while securing the talent needed to drive future innovation.
As global demand for AI infrastructure accelerates, Doosan’s focus on customized, scalable, and low-carbon energy systems positions the group to play a central role in shaping the next phase of the energy market.
