Liebherr’s First 43 K Fast-Erecting Crane Finds Home with Zimmerei Frank in Munich

Munich, Germany – Carpentry specialist Zimmerei Frank has become the first recipient of the newly released Liebherr 43 K fast-erecting crane, marking a major step in Liebherr’s next-generation crane rollout. With a hook height of 30.2 meters, compact design, and enhanced features, the 43 K is tailored for urban renovations and listed building projects—a perfect match for the Munich-based firm’s expertise.

“Zimmerei Frank stands for quality and honest collaboration. We expect the same from our suppliers,” said Stefan Frank, Owner and Managing Director of Zimmerei Frank. “Our many years of working with Liebherr reflect this strong partnership.”

Built for Urban Challenges

The 43 K is the successor to the proven 34 K, a model that Zimmerei Frank has relied on for years. The upgrade to 43 K brings several new advantages for inner-city construction, including:

  • 30.2m hook height for multi-storey or rooftop work
  • Compact footprint for tight job sites
  • Load-sway assistant (Sway Control) to improve safety for newer operators
  • Fast setup and dismantling times to reduce downtime

A Crane for the Heart of Munich

Zimmerei Frank’s projects—ranging from roof renovations to heritage building extensions—require precision tools that can operate efficiently within Munich’s dense cityscape. The 43 K’s maneuverability and extended reach make it especially suited for such environments.

The delivery expands the company’s existing fleet of 14 Liebherr cranes, reinforcing its commitment to premium equipment for demanding projects.

Trust Built Over Time

The purchase was finalized after a factory tour and successful test run at Liebherr’s Biberach site in late 2024. As the first ever delivery of the 43 K model, it underscores the long-standing partnership between Liebherr and Zimmerei Frank—both known for engineering precision and commitment to craftsmanship.
