Skanska has announced an investment of PLN 241 million (about SEK 630 million) in the first phase of its new residential complex, Awangarda Mogilska, in Kraków, Poland. The construction contract, worth PLN 143 million (about SEK 380 million), will be recorded in Skanska’s order bookings for Europe in Q3 2025.
The project’s first phase will deliver a modern residential building with 278 apartments of varying sizes and six commercial units. Located near Kraków’s Main Square and Central Railway Station, the development is designed to offer a blend of urban convenience and comfortable living, while putting a strong emphasis on sustainability.
Key sustainable features include photovoltaic panels, a heat recovery system powered by heat pumps for water heating, and a rooftop solar power plant to help reduce electricity consumption. Apartments will also be equipped with anti-smog ventilation inlets for improved indoor air quality, along with smart home technologies such as the Appartme system, which allows residents to remotely or manually control heating, electrical appliances, and water usage.
Construction on the first phase is set to begin in August 2025, with completion scheduled for March 2028.
In total, Awangarda Mogilska will be developed across three phases, ultimately providing around 500 apartments, reinforcing Skanska’s role in shaping sustainable and modern urban living in Kraków.
