Liebherr MRO Americas 2026: Showcase of Innovations

Expanded MRO capabilities and cargo conversion technology take center stage in Orlando

April 2026 — Liebherr-Aerospace will present its latest customer service solutions at MRO Americas 2026, taking place from April 21 to 23 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, USA.

The event is the largest gathering of the aviation aftermarket community.

Focus on expanding MRO capabilities

At booth 4552, Liebherr will highlight the growing capabilities of its service center in Saline, Michigan, USA.

This facility provides comprehensive aftermarket support across the Americas.

In October 2025, the company opened a new MRO workshop.

As a result, it marked the fifth expansion of the site since 1993.

Enhanced capacity and operational efficiency

The upgraded facility supports:

  • Testing and repair services
  • Overhaul and recore operations
  • Heat transfer equipment maintenance

These systems are used on aircraft from major manufacturers, including Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Embraer and Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation.

Moreover, the expansion improves landing gear processing capacity and supports pneumatic component services.

Innovative cargo conversion solution

Liebherr will also display a cargo aircraft model at the event.

The system is developed in partnership with LHColus.

It includes a Class F Quick Change cargo conversion kit.

This solution allows operators to convert passenger aircraft into freighters quickly.

Designed for flexibility and safety

The cargo conversion system offers several advantages:

  • Fully reversible configuration
  • Lightweight aluminum cargo structures
  • Fire-proof and smoke-contained cargo nets

In addition, it includes:

  • Infrared cameras for continuous monitoring
  • Certified smoke barriers for cockpit separation
  • Clear cargo loading guidelines

Therefore, airlines can operate flexible fleets while maintaining safety and compliance.

Outlook

Liebherr’s presence at MRO Americas highlights its focus on innovation and service expansion.

As demand for efficient maintenance and flexible aircraft solutions grows, such technologies will play a key role in the aviation industry.
