ACCIONA EV Charging Station Now Open in Badajoz

ACCIONA Energía and Castellana Properties have opened one of Spain’s largest public EV charging stations at the El Faro shopping center in Badajoz. The new facility features 42 charging bays and 2,000kW of contracted power, providing reliable charging capacity even during peak demand.

High-Capacity Charging Infrastructure

The charging station offers multiple charging options to suit different driver needs:

  • Four 240kW ultra-fast chargers serving eight charging bays, with charging times of less than 15 minutes for compatible vehicles.
  • Ten 80kW fast chargers serving 20 charging bays, typically delivering a full charge in 30 to 60 minutes.
  • Seven 22kW chargers serving 14 charging bays, designed for longer visits with charging times of two to four hours.

This combination allows drivers to choose the charging speed that best fits their schedule.

Flexible Payment and Easy Access

Users can manage charging sessions through the ACCIONA Recarga app, which provides access to promotions and exclusive benefits. In addition, the station supports ad hoc charging without prior registration. Drivers can start a session using their mobile phones or pay directly with a bank card, making the service accessible to all electric vehicle owners.

Advanced Charging Technology

The installation uses charging equipment supplied by Circutor, a manufacturer known for reliable and high-quality EV charging solutions. Consequently, the facility delivers dependable performance while supporting growing demand for electric mobility.

Supporting Sustainable Mobility

The new charging station expands the services available at the El Faro shopping center while reinforcing Castellana Properties’ sustainability strategy. The company continues to reduce its carbon footprint by improving energy efficiency, expanding self-consumption solutions, and investing in sustainable mobility initiatives.

Meanwhile, ACCIONA Energía continues to strengthen its role in transport electrification across the Iberian Peninsula. The company now provides access to more than 5,000 charging points in urban areas and along major intercity corridors throughout Spain and Portugal.

Driving the Future of Electric Mobility

The Badajoz charging station demonstrates ACCIONA Energía’s commitment to expanding high-capacity EV infrastructure. By combining fast charging technology, user-friendly access, and sustainable development, the company continues to support the transition toward cleaner transportation and smarter cities.
