Bobcat North Dakota Open Marks 62nd Tournament and Community Impact

The 62nd annual Bobcat North Dakota Open brought professional and amateur golfers to Rose Creek Golf Course while continuing its long-standing support for The Village Family Service Center, a Fargo-based nonprofit providing counseling, addiction recovery, mentoring and other services.

Since 1984, the tournament has raised more than $1.3 million for The Village through charitable donations and community support.

2026 Tournament Highlights

The Bobcat North Dakota Open featured a competitive field of professional and amateur golfers. The event also included community activities such as the Pro Junior Shoot Out and a Big Brothers Big Sisters Golf Clinic.

Josh McCollum of Nashville, Tennessee, won the professional tournament for his first professional victory of the summer. Marco Trstenjak of Winnipeg, Canada, and Williams Adams of Odessa, Texas, tied for second at 18-under par.

Adams also set a new Rose Creek course record with a score of 59 on Friday.

Josh Persons, a former professional golfer and Fargo North graduate, won the amateur division with a final score of 15-under 195. Scott Johnson won the senior division, while Rick Samson won the super senior division.

The tournament concluded on Saturday, August 22, with an awards presentation honoring the top finishers.

Supporting the Community

The tournament’s charitable impact remains a central part of the event.

Funds raised through the Bobcat North Dakota Open help The Village Family Service Center expand access to counseling, addiction recovery and other behavioral health services across the region.

Bobcat Company has served as the tournament’s title sponsor since 1984. The company has also supported the event through employee volunteer efforts.

This year’s sponsors included Bell Bank, D-S Beverages, Fusable, Lapham-Hickey Steel Corp., Lenker Consulting, Nodak Insurance-Kelly Howe agent and Old National Bank.

Growing Professional Golf in the Dakotas

The Bobcat North Dakota Open is part of the Dakotas Tour, a developmental professional golf tour that provides young golfers with an opportunity to compete and prepare for higher-level tours.

In 2026, the Dakotas Tour and Asher Golf Tour began a new three-year partnership aimed at strengthening professional participation and supporting the continued growth of competitive golf in the region.

The Dakotas Tour features six professional events across North and South Dakota. Players compete for approximately $750,000 in total prize money over a nine-week season.
