Cemex Costco Mexico: Construction Project Overview

Cemex Costco Mexico: Construction Project Overview

Cemex has supplied concrete for the construction of the largest Costco store in Mexico, located in the Monterrey metropolitan area. The project highlights the company’s expertise in delivering high-performance construction materials for major commercial developments.

Cemex began work on the project in September 2025 after completing a planning and design phase with construction company Maiz Mier. The team finished the project in March 2026.

Cemex Delivers High-Performance Concrete Solution

The construction team aimed to achieve high-quality results while reducing structural risks and improving long-term durability. To support these goals, Cemex Costco Mexico featured a low-shrinkage concrete solution designed to minimize cracking and enhance structural performance.

This specialized concrete helped improve the durability of the building while meeting the project’s demanding construction standards.

Concrete Used Throughout the Development

Cemex supplied approximately 6,500 cubic meters of concrete for the project. Of that total, around 2,400 cubic meters went into the floor slab.

In addition, the company provided concrete for several key areas, including:

  • Floor slab
  • Loading platforms
  • Access ramps
  • Curbs
  • Water infrastructure
  • Parking areas
  • Gas station

As a result, Cemex supported nearly every major structural component of the retail development.

Supporting Large-Scale Commercial Projects

The completion of the largest Costco store in Mexico further strengthens Cemex’s position as a trusted supplier for complex commercial construction projects.

Moreover, the company continues to work with leading global brands and top construction firms across the markets where it operates. Its focus on quality materials, technical expertise, and innovative concrete solutions helps customers deliver durable and efficient infrastructure.

Cemex Expands Its Construction Portfolio

The Cemex Costco Mexico project reflects the company’s commitment to supplying advanced construction materials for high-profile developments. By delivering specialized concrete solutions that improve durability and reduce maintenance needs, Cemex continues to support large-scale retail and infrastructure projects worldwide.
