Cemex is supplying its Vertua Supremo cement for the construction of TM Tower, a landmark residential skyscraper in Benidorm, Spain. The project is set to become one of Europe’s tallest residential buildings while supporting lower-carbon construction.
Cemex Supports Landmark Residential Tower
TM Tower will rise more than 200 meters with 64 floors, making it one of the tallest residential buildings in Europe. The development will feature 260 residences, along with wellness facilities and shared community spaces. Construction is scheduled for completion in 2028.
Cemex is providing Vertua Supremo cement for the tower’s foundation and structural framework. The cement delivers high strength and durability while performing effectively in the coastal environment near the Mediterranean Sea.
Lower-Carbon Cement Reduces Emissions
Compared with conventional cement, Vertua Supremo can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 55%. For the TM Tower project, its use is expected to lower CO₂ emissions by up to 38% compared with cement products of similar characteristics available in the local market.
As a result, the project supports more sustainable construction without compromising structural performance.
Strategic Partnership Drives Project Delivery
Additionally, Cemex is supplying the cement through Arenas Forna, a strategic partner involved in the project’s execution. TM Grupo Inmobiliario is developing the residential tower.
The collaboration combines lower-carbon construction materials with advanced engineering to deliver a modern high-rise designed for long-term durability.
