Custom Concrete Pump Honors Breast Cancer Awareness
Harris Concrete Pumps has added a custom pink Liebherr 42 XXT truck-mounted concrete pump to its fleet.
The machine carries a special meaning for the family-owned company. Its vibrant pink finish and breast cancer awareness ribbon graphics honor Janet Marie Broadwell, the mother of Harris Concrete Pumps owner Ruth Gould.
The custom machine also aims to raise breast cancer awareness across the communities Harris Concrete Pumps serves.
A Tribute to Janet Marie Broadwell
The new Liebherr pump honors Broadwell’s memory and the impact she had on the Gould family.
Ruth Gould said the company designed the truck specifically in her mother’s honor. The pink color and ribbon graphics serve as a reminder of her compassion, strength and selflessness.
“We hope that every jobsite the truck visits carries her story, while also helping to raise awareness for a disease that has affected so many families,” Gould said.
The machine will travel to construction sites across the company’s service area. Each visit will carry both a practical purpose and a message of hope.
Liebherr 42 XXT Delivers 41.2-Meter Reach
Beyond its symbolic purpose, the Liebherr 42 XXT provides contractors with significant concrete placing capabilities.
The truck-mounted pump features a five-part multi-fold boom. It provides a maximum vertical reach of 135 feet, or 41.2 meters.
The machine also uses Liebherr’s XXT support system. This design allows operators to work effectively on jobsites where available setup space is limited.
The combination of reach and flexibility makes the pump suitable for a wide range of concrete placement applications.
Powerbloc System Supports Performance
The Liebherr 42 XXT also features the company’s Powerbloc drive unit.
The system combines hydraulic switching and measuring elements into one integrated unit. This design supports smooth operation and reliable performance.
It also simplifies maintenance for operators and service teams.
Harris Concrete Pumps purchased the machine through Liebherr’s Profit Maker Program. The program provides a four-year warranty for new Liebherr truck-mounted concrete boom pumps, along with a structural guarantee and additional benefits.
A Machine With a Larger Mission
For Harris Concrete Pumps, the new Liebherr 42 XXT represents more than another addition to its equipment fleet.
The company plans to put the machine to work on construction projects while continuing to share Janet Marie Broadwell’s story.
As the pink pump moves from jobsite to jobsite, it will support contractors and concrete operations. At the same time, it will promote breast cancer awareness and carry a message of perseverance and hope.
