New Platforms Improve Fire Safety Visibility
Johnson Controls has launched the next generation of its fire and life safety networking and workstation solutions.
The new platforms aim to help facility operators improve visibility, accelerate emergency response and maintain resilient operations across complex buildings.
The solutions combine enterprise-scale monitoring, cybersecurity-focused architecture and simplified operations within a centralized command environment.
Designed for Complex Facilities
The new fire safety workstations include Simplex Incident Manager and Autocall Fire Site Administrator.
Both platforms support large and diverse facilities. They can integrate data from fire alarm control units from multiple manufacturers while adapting to local regulations.
The workstations can monitor and control up to 250,000 devices. They can also connect up to 687 fire alarm control units, which Johnson Controls says is 2.5 times more than competing industry alternatives.

- High-traffic facilities
Centralized Monitoring Supports Faster Response
The new workstations give operators a consolidated view of fire and life safety systems.
Graphical floor plans use color coding to help teams identify events quickly. Head-end annunciation and centralized controls also place critical information in one location.
This can help facility teams make faster and more informed decisions during emergencies.
The platforms also support day-to-day operational efficiency by providing real-time system status and event information.
Cybersecurity and Resilience Built In
Johnson Controls designed the workstations to support secure and reliable fire safety operations.
The systems use modern authentication and software aligned with ISA/IEC 62443 principles. They also hold several industry approvals and listings, including UL, ULC and FM approvals.
The workstations are also CSFM listed and accepted by MEA in New York City.
These features help facility managers address both fire safety requirements and growing cybersecurity concerns within connected building systems.
Supports Up to 60 Remote Users
Each workstation can support up to 60 simultaneous remote client users.
Authorized users can access real-time system information through desktop or mobile applications. This allows facility teams to monitor events from different locations within an organization.
Building managers can also send customizable action messages and notifications to occupants, first responders and connected equipment.
Additional integration options include connected cameras and SafeLINC Cloud. These integrations can provide greater visibility into systems and remote areas.
Built to Scale With Facility Needs
The workstations can support facilities ranging from individual high-rise buildings to large, multi-site portfolios.
Their ability to connect with existing systems allows organizations to expand operations without replacing their entire fire safety infrastructure.
Point simulation modes also allow building managers to verify installation accuracy and test software without disrupting live systems.

Simplex Incident Manager and Autocall Fire Site Administrator are available now.
The platforms support five languages, including Arabic, Canadian French, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese and Latin American Spanish.
