Liebherr tower cranes are supporting the construction of seven major residential developments across Miami. The projects highlight the company’s role in building the city’s rapidly changing skyline.
Working with its exclusive North American distributor, Morrow Equipment Company, Liebherr has deployed EC-B flat-top, EC-H high-top and HC-L luffing jib cranes across projects in Brickell, Edgewater, Park West and Miami Worldcenter.
Cranes Built for Challenging Conditions
Miami’s construction sites present unique challenges. Contractors must work in tight urban spaces, manage hook heights of up to 230 meters, and operate in high humidity and hurricane-prone conditions.
The EC-B flat-top cranes allow multiple units to work close together. Meanwhile, the EC-H series delivers extra lifting power for taller buildings. In addition, HC-L luffing jib cranes perform well where overhead space is limited.
Morrow Equipment has represented Liebherr in the United States, Canada and Mexico for more than 40 years. The company also expanded its fleet in 2022 by ordering 27 additional Liebherr cranes, many of which now operate across Greater Miami.
Supporting Landmark Developments
Liebherr cranes are helping build several of Miami’s most prominent residential towers.
Villa Miami in Edgewater uses two 316 EC-H cranes to construct its 56-story luxury tower.
Meanwhile, Cipriani Residences Miami in Brickell relies on two EC-B cranes. During construction, the project temporarily became Miami’s tallest residential building.
The E11EVEN Club Hotel & Residences development also uses Liebherr cranes. The first tower has already topped out, while work continues on the second tower.
Furthermore, 600 Miami Worldcenter reached its structural peak with the help of two 357 HC-L cranes.
Other projects include a 58-story residential tower at 46 NE 6th Street, Hamilton House in Edgewater and St. Regis Residences Miami. Together, these developments will add thousands of new homes to the city.
Supporting Miami’s Skyline Growth
Liebherr’s range of EC-B, EC-H and HC-L cranes gives contractors the flexibility to match the right crane to each project.
As Miami continues to expand, these cranes are helping developers complete complex high-rise projects safely and efficiently. Overall, Liebherr remains a key partner in shaping the city’s next generation of residential towers.
