SEAA launches Modern Erector certification for steel industry workplaces
The Steel Erectors Association of America (SEAA) has launched Modern Erector, a new certification program for companies in the steel erection industry.
The program recognizes companies that build strong workplaces, effective systems and positive work cultures. It covers structural steel, reinforcing steel and metal decking companies.
SEAA describes Modern Erector as a third-party certification that checks how companies support their people, manage operations and maintain high standards.
“Modern Erector is the industry’s only credential that encompasses all aspects of a business culture,” said Pete Gum, Executive Director of SEAA. “It is an evidence-based certification developed to reflect the values SEAA stands for—safety, quality, workforce development, operational excellence, and commitment to the craft.”
